Also remember personal days subtract from the same bucket so spread those out so your always accumulating time but have a decent bucket in the event you actually get sick. I wouldn't want my bucket down below 40 hours. Never know when you might get the flu or COVID.

Sick time carry over isn't the choice of the LOB it's part of workday time tracking. It's a continuous rolling cycle but once you hit 80 hours, you stop accumulating more time. If your goal was to maximize your utilization of sick time benefit, spread out your days enough to where you're always below that 80 hour threshold and you keep accumulating time (you accumulate 3.34 hours per pay cycle until you hit 80). If you do get sick you still have plenty of days to use in your bucket but you never stop accumulating more hours (which again is it benefit you stop receiving once you hit 80 hours in your bucket).

If you're not using work day to track your sick time, you're cheating yourself out of days.
