How true is the whole IP address tracking while in office?
Are we being tracked by a specific amount of hours logged in the network or is it all a bunch of BS.

The ip tracking isn’t working well. There is now a test group having chips inserted into them, like you do to your pets. Tracking will be more effective. Rollout is planned for the 3rd quarter.
The incentive/bonus pool is being cut to pay for it.
Even have to pay for office supplies in PIttsburgh…
BNYM is the only company for which I’ve worked where I’veI had to purchase my own coffee and also my own water. I do believe that NYC gets free Starbucks. Likely paid for by raiding our pension.
the mgr dashboard is not yet reporting IP addresses. Over the "refresh" they did update what constitutes eligible days. Before December, any amount of PTO time exempted you from a full day. Now you have to take the whole 8 hours to get a day removed from your denominator.
Ah with a bit of luck will be fired for not doing it ….
And all that free full-service Starbucks I’d be curious what everyone’s blood sugar numbers and weight were prior/after. HA.
At least you’re getting the free full-service Starbucks. 95% of our offices aren’t. Wonder what that ‘enticement’ is costing the rest of us. As if Starbucks would make someone want to give up the comforts of working from home and not commuting in the freezing cold, snow and rain.
Damn. I was really enjoying taking the train into the office 3x’s a week, getting my free Starbucks and going home.
My manager does show us the RTO dashboard every reporting period to see where we are at but it's pretty confusing how WFA days affect the bottom # and how that affects required days. Frankly if you want to have transparency, I don't get why manager WOULDN'T show you the dashboard...
Management offers NO transparency. They want you to sc--w up and say they’re laying you off for cause.
@lgk My job does not require me to meet with ANYONE in office. It’s also a huge expense and waste of time and money commuting to go into an office where I meet with NO ONE. Not for one hour, not for 5 hrs, not for 8 hrs. My team and my collaborators are elsewhere. And yet if you work 50+ miles away from an office (like NY and IL and TX offices that recently closed) you don’t have to come in at all. Just because I’m not in an office doesn’t mean I’m not being productive and am not meeting with my team virtually.
Cr-p I only did 4 hours today!
As of Dec , it was only tracking badge swipes - & not very accurately
Haven’t seen January dashboard yet. Nothing has been communicated to our team about this change.
It’s true, I heard as well and how long it takes to respond to emails
If you would simply focus on doing your jobs we wouldn’t need to displace people.
True. 5 hours
You would think there would be some sort of dashboard you could access to see exactly how you’re doing for the report period.… A little transparency, perhaps
I mean people I talk to don’t even know how work from anywhere, days off etc. factor in.
True on both counts.
