Been a long time since we've had actual layoff news to share on this board... 20 investment bankers cut in Asia (HK, I think) on Jan. 22. Now a few more to come in US and Europe. (allegedly)

They haven't been doing them because they are too cheap to pay the severance packages. So they try to spin it as if it is some noble approach they are taking WRT managing headcount and not doing large-scale RIFs. It's anything but noble.
