Do we need to prove that we’re looking for a job for either the BNYM package or unemployment?

I had to call a number and attest that I hadn't found a job yet in order to keep getting SUB pay.
As far as state unemployment goes, you need to prove you are seeking employment incase the state unemployment office chooses to audit your searches. There’s a form (like a spreadsheet) where you list the dates, the company, did you email your resume , etc. It is a pain, but necessary just in case you get picked as one of the audits that the state unemployment offices do. So, for instance, go on Indeed, upload your resume, and every week submit your resume to 2 or 3 companies and keep track of it.
As far as your SUB pay from BNY, you need to go to website (it’s listed in the separation docs) and confirm each pay day that you are still unemployed.
