I know the duration, but regarding the actual amount - how much is it, is there a calculation? Is there a difference if you collect unemployment or not?
Thanks

I agree. Why do people ask endless questions of the Randos on this board instead of attending HR sessions and getting the correct information.
It will be your regular pay without a few things taken out such as
- SS
- 401k contributions
- HSA contributions
- Vacation purchase
It's in addition to your unemployment pay and one won't affect the other. When you file for unemployment, make sure you DO NOT say you're getting severance. That's treated differently than SUB.
Here’s what I gathered from attending the session:
If your salary is 20k and your sub pay is 2weeks the calculation would be 20k/52weeks * 2weeks
It depends on your salary. Everyone’s amount is different.
Suggest everyone attend the sessions. Documents are complex with a lot of legal language. You could easily lose your SUB pay if you don’t understand the DO’s and DON’T’s.
