Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

I hope BofA asks for volunteers again

I'll be the first one to take them up on it!

Get in line! Many of us have already been watching/waiting for this for years.

Bank of America has had several periods of this over the years. I volunteered/raised my hand THREE TIMES, but was told "No, not you" by my manager. "You're too valuable to let go."

So, if one does come about, then don't do any work so they have no reason to keep you around!!

I think the voluntary severance package was around 2006.

We have had hardly any work for several years in my department. This is even with some being pulled to work on "special projects." I ask if anyone needs help every morning.

I volunteered in October and even told my HR rep I’d take a reduced severance and was politely told we have too much work to do and need all our resources… which really means there’s no way we’re giving you a package when all we have to do is keep tightening the bonus pool and giving below market raises - it will take care of itself

Probably around 2015.

It was probably back in 2010, after the Merrill takeover. If they asked for volunteers tomorrow, 90% of my department would be gone. They will never do it. They are too cheap and morally bankrupt.

When was the last time they asked for volunteers?
