Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

No more stress and crazy workload

Leaving BofA was not just the right choice for me, it was the best possible choice I could have made for my mental health and overall happiness. My new job is mostly stress free with a normal workload and a great manager, none of which I had at BofA. The only thing I miss is my former coworkers, but I honestly hope all of them are on their way out as well.

I'm sorry to say, but your happiness in the new role may be fleeting.

The roots of this issue date back to the Industrial Revolution, which marked a shift from chattel slavery to wage labor, effectively transforming all U.S. citizens into wage slaves. The metrics used to drive corporate performance today have evolved from the practices of slave masters. This form of wage slavery has since become the dominant global work model.

The crux of the problem lies in our reliance on fiat currency to purchase necessities and desires. To survive, you must essentially "sell your soul" to the highest bidder, which strips you of a sense of safety and security. Your fate is no longer in your hands but in those of an unseen person who permits you to work for their company. You are valuable to the company only for what you can produce at this moment, and they can discard you tomorrow without any obligation. This constant transaction of selling yourself minute by minute fosters insecurity, fear, anxiety, and ultimately erodes society.

When you transition to a new job, the novelty can be engaging. However, the familiar fears and anxieties will inevitably resurface. You'll grow weary of the routine, following orders, and enduring whatever nonsense you must tolerate to make it through each day.

Nice! I feel one should continue to grow over their lifetime. Sounds like you made the right choice at the right time. So how is your new position in the custodial arts?

This is what happens over the years when any effective overall leadership model no longer exists and the rampant practice of promoting favorites (lackeys) and cronies has continued for years unchecked. The results of this free for all are impacting all employees.

I am so happy you left this shlithole bank . This place is run by a bunch of buffoons from the CEO on down. I am also getting ready to leave this dump. We have so many incompetent managers running this place. They promote stupid azz people and leave the smart people behind. They do this to make sure they don't take their positions.
