That’s exactly what I did.. Best move ever.
@ 1tbv,
I believe those who took the separation package sign an agreement not to solicit employees from BNY.
I wasn't let go, but I just found a new job after an intense 7 months of looking. It is pretty bleak out there, but there is no future in a lot of parts of BNYM. I work in Corporate Trust, and if you don't see the writing on the wall, you must be blind.
Let's look after our fellow BNY peeps. If you are in a new company and are hiring, pls consider BNY employees

I was let go on the after 6.5 years a few weeks ago. I've been looking and applying. No responses yet, but I'm going to keep plugging away.

Terrible time to be out of work. All these big companies are down sizing/ offshoring. .
No interviews, no response for more than 3 months, then automatic decline letter...

Great time to be job searching. Unemployment is very low, the Bank never keeps up with inflation and so you should get a big compensation boost. It’s a good time to be job hunting.
Yes, it is rough out there. Lots of ghosting and rejections. Just keep plugging away. It will come.
