@auss, Oriskany was leased. Syracuse is owned. Closed but not sold.

Let’s use our head folks. You cannot possibly think that only Oriskany folks were let go? Folks in other locations like NYC were as well . Also fyi Oriskany wasn’t only location sold. Chicago was before them, Texas, Florida and others after . It’s going to continue

Well you can’t say that Charlie didn’t warn everyone in Oriskany…. SIX YEARS AGO.

It started to get done two years ago just as Charlie warned.

Something is off. Nys WARN requires notification if at least 25 employees constituting 33% of the total OR at least 250 employees regardless of the percentage.
33% of 600 is 198.
Since it’s a 90 day notice, is the first round of 30 with subsequent layoffs each month to meet that threshold?
Seems like they’re trying to conceal the actual #’s by announcing 30 pp considering how many have already been let go this year in addition to the plan to eliminate 80% of staff this year.

It seems like some managers choose to not tell their staff what is going on at Oriskany. Upper management at least had a meeting with our department in January giving us the truth that eventually our whole department will no longer be around. Yes we also thought about the stuff that is just US based and we were told that was old procedures and things will be changed. So yeah. They will change anything to get with they want. I know that my dept turn everything into chaos in the rest of the offices they will be located as they have no idea what they are doing. A total sh*t show. I am just anxiously waiting for them to tell me it is my time.

As one of the 30, with a previous decade of excellent work seeing them still keep subpar workers baffles me. Several of the 30 plus (they had already let go people PRIOR to the WARN notice) also were REALLY good smart workers. I know some Oriskany people think they won’t be effected due to certain conditions (US ONLY based work) however all big corps and banks know ALL the loopholes. They simply will be moving the work to other locations. Way back in the fall, someone had commented if they haven’t had a transfer conversation with you, you’re eventually getting let go. Once the staff etc is trained to take over work in other locations with PHYSICAL offices then its lights out for everyone.

@3ov

Love it. Now we have a fortune teller with an exact count of a future layoff.

Simply can’t make this up…

I think all Oriskany staff has to understand at this point that the Bank is not keeping 600 WFH staff. It's just a matter of time sadly....

Local news said today 30 people from Oriskany will be laid off on March 25th. Reason given was economic.

Productivity is going down the drain with all slackers and old timers who know how to game the system;

Just meet RTO need of the division and getting away not doing any productive work

I know quite a few from Oriskany including myself that voluntarily resigned in the past few months to avoid the inevitable. Leadership’s plan to eliminate all is coming together nicely.
Anyone have a number of employees left in CNY?

In past 2 weeks 10 plus Oriskany gone - they let really good people go too, not just “slackers”
