Anyone gotten their 2nd notice for not complying with the RTO standards? The “reiteration” notice? Heads could be rolling soon…..

@dfgh+1rvDxMBg - exactly!! "great benefits" that literally a handful of people can use. They just do it for the PR. Stupid fake awards from obsolete printed (!) magazines and websites.

Then they pat themselves on the back telling themselves they are doing "good", while counting all the money they paid themselves instead of us doing the actual work.

Love the “great benefits” comment. I can’t afford our insurance premium (you go one dollar over 100k and you pay the same premium as someone making 2-3x your salary - not your take home pay). I don’t have use for any of the other “benefits” bc they are so obscure and seldom needed by anyone. Of course the bank parades “benefits” them like a great prize when such a small group uses them.

@8emo+1rvDxMBg - my troll comment was not directed at the OP, but rather the person who wrote "so many ungrateful people out there". We are dying on the vine here, so having someone say we are ungrateful is rather too much to take.

(yea, company offers a lot of benefits, that no one at least on my extended team can actually use. We need management to cease their Draconan Mandate to RTO for the tax incentives and pay better so the people who know what to do -- correctly -- will stay and continue doing it .)

Apologies for any confusion.

I don’t think it’s a troll at all. I’ve heard of several of these 2nd notices going out. It stresses the reiteration of workplace excellence guidelines and the importance of following it. Then it goes on to say the documentation will be placed in their personnel files. So yeah, it’s happening.

@5fql+1rvDxMBg "So many negative ungrateful people out there" You must be in management who has accolades achieved by the actual workers. It is easy to make comments to come to the office at least 3 days a week or else. However, bringing up great benefits. Days off is one thing but scrutinized by management on when to take them. As for health, benefits are similar to what is offered at other companies. I do agree that medical is better provided that you do not smoke and complete the wellness requirements for cheaper premiums. Wellness also includes the morale in the workplace which requires work and support by management. It doesn't mean to buy more pizzas.

So many negative ungrateful people out there. Come to the office three days a week or go work for another company. It’s that simple. BofA is a good company with great benefits.

It is not that hard to not get fired for not coming in. I’m surprised anyone has gotten fired this quickly. Now that it has transitioned to manager monitoring, just log your sick and vacation days in Workday, let your manager know if you have a temp situation, etc.

@1vyy+1rvDxMBg Was it the Letter of Education or was it the initial warning email sent around Nov last year? I have a teammate who received the initial warning email who I seldom see in the office even after that warning, no known health issues, but also got promoted to VP.

@2ilr+1rvDxMBg If "only" females were fired for non compliance to RTO then there would be a case for you. The company will have it's ducks in a row to ensure no discrimination claims are made. I would strongly suspect that a person who is let go for non-compliance has other issues besides RTO. Use your imagination because upper management are as they make up reasons to justify their actions. Don't walk in the workplace with your shoes untied.

I know of one person who was fired for no -compliance with RTO. They tested the limits of WFH and were hardly engaged and never had assignments ready.

Am I totally off base or does it seem like firing someone for not adhering to RTO while thousands of employees are permitted to be in MyWork (without a documented medical accomodation or special circumstances) is standing for a discrimination or wrongful termination lawsuit?

hypothetical scenario:
I'm a female and there's a male on my team that is in MyWork because he enrolled many years ago when enrollment was open and he was permitted to stay in it. I was denied entry into mywork because they are no longer accepting people into mywork unless there is a medical accommodation. The teammate that was permitted to stay in MyWork doesn't have a medical accommodation, doesn't live far from the office and never has to come in. They end up firing me for not adhering to 3-day RTO policy.
In this case, could teammate fired initiate a lawsuit claiming they were discriminated against because of their gender? (Fired for working from home while the male on the team was given special privilege and permitted to never come in)

I’ve seen someone who got the first warning letter get promoted to VP.

I love how they justify RTO so we can all "collaborate " . I work in a tech site with almost 600 people. Most everyone's manager is at another site. This is the same for other sites as well. Managers in Charlotte mainly. None of their direct reports are at the same site as them in many cases. So they don't have to worry about anyone coming to their office with any issues, they can ignore emails, IM's, calls and respond at their leisure. That's how we have to collaborate.

But we're they let go strictly because of non-compliance with RTO mandates (please don't call it "Workplace "Excellence")? Or were those people that they were already looking to let go and this provided them the convenient excuse?

People have already been let go

Well they have let people go in the past with less notice, so I would not bank on it

These notices are BS. They won't let anyone go for this. This charade will go on for years.
