I haven’t met RTO working bull**£& together requirement for 2 consecutive months because of transportation issues, but I have completed all my work and received positive client feedback. Am I doomed and should I worry about next layoff round? When is it? I have worked here for 11 years. Will I get subpay if let go?

We’re really missing our reliable boomers now. I don’t see how this ends well…
Honestly getting into work on time is a 16 year old life lesson. I predict hardships ahead without serious attitude readjustment. I truly hope that you can emerge from it.
@2zyv, oh, I dunno, maybe something like FNI being down for a day while people did the needful like it was 5 years ago.
@2fts
And just what exactly do you think regulators are going to come down hard on????
Take some vacation days now before your let go and lose them if you’re sure it’s coming.
Can't wait to see something blow up and the regulators come down hard on this place! Can't wait for the press to crown outside of our offices and harass our so called "leadership". Oh, it will be glorious. These contemptuous a-holes and frauds running our bank need to be banned from the industry! I pray every day for justice in this world! I'm so sick and tired of the incompetence!
@1gld You are absolutely correct!! It’s only a matter of time before the people who are BAH because their location closed find themselves out of jobs entirely. So sad. Sacrificed to the growth locations.
Shame on Robin Vince for sending American banking jobs to India.
It’s a shame you didn’t communicate with your manager about your transportation issues and use the exception options available to everyone. Transportation issues are what the receptions are for (and weather, etc). It’s not a 1 for 1 though, unfortunately. I recommend keeping a spreadsheet to be sure you’re on top of your numbers.
As for Woodland Park, when it closes the people that live within 50 miles of Jersey City or 240g will be expected to go there, or risk the consequences.
Sadly, you are correct…
Nope, you waited too long and your compliance is now in the books. The past will control you.
Good luck to all.

Don’t be envious… accept the life lesson and better yourself.
There is a lot of comments about layoffs due to office closure. Just wondering has anyone heard there will be layoffs for Woodland Park, New Jersey staff since the building is closing within a month or two

I am hybrid in LM. Keep in mind that most BAH employees are impacted by recent office closures. Company is gradually laying them off and until then they have limited opportunities for promotions or internal career opportunities. I wish them well because I have a hardworking coworker who was impacted by East Syracuse and Oriskany closures, but because of their likely fate I am ok worrying about swipes, tracking days, or time logged in to IP addresses. I go to LM office 3x a week, but I feel much safer than a BAH in an area without a nearby office
Adults figure out how to get to work. Actually, kids generally figure it out at age 16.
Our hiring process is clearly broken.
…and the priveledged BAH continue on their merry way, enjoying zero commute, zero wardrobe expense, and great work life balance without a care in the world about swipes, tracking days, or time logged in to IP addresses.

Managers can seen when you are below model and they can submitted in office exemptions for you or you can submit them when there is an issue getting into the office. If your manager didn’t msg you and inform you about to submit them they probably don’t care that you will be fired without sub pay for not meeting the requirements. On the India training it’s everywhere, they will start to do all of our work soon and layoff most of the US staff.
The training is suspicious but that’s what’s going on now. There’s a big push going on right now to train offshore on all remaining work that was getting handled in the US starting this past January. I’ve been doing the same trainings. The same reasons you shared are what’s getting provided to me. It’s so I can focus more time learning other clients so everyone knows how to cover all clients. It’s complete BS. When I work at a site that they don’t even consider a growth center I can read between the lines.
No sub pay for not meeting requirement. If u didnt communicate in the moment theybdont retroactively care. When your fired its not a debate or a discussion it cya
We've always been able to accommodate employees through personal issues and there is no reason to think anything has changed. Either way, it is important to communicate your issues like that to 72your manager.
you're gone...sadly it's on you...it's like not showing up to a date many times over and then wanting to marry the person upon seen them first time...what would you do if you were the other person? exactly!
Policy is confusing to me but if they just fire long term employees without sub for not meeting office requirement, it’s a money saver for the company. No moral compass & heartless. It’s becoming the Bank of India thanks to greedy leaders. It’s not the fault of our Indian coworkers, and all blame should be directed at CEO and EC.
But doesn’t the RTO tracking that will be used to fire for non compliance start now ? ie for Feb to May reporting period ? Previous periods can’t be held against you.
I am @OP+1s8ZlgnJ
Thanks for your comments and sadly they make a lot of sense and I now know why all next week starting on Monday 4/22 I was asked to train 2 on a task that I only know how to do. One is in US and the other in India and my manager only said that the reason had to do with recovery & resiliency reasons and to make me focus on new tasks, but I am highly suspicious that the real reason is that I will be fired for not meeting RTO working bulls@&$ together requirement. The sad thing is that the 2 I will be training are not in my Pittsburgh office: one is in India and the other has a medical exemption for a fake reason to WFH! I am sick to my stomach they will likely fire me without offering me sub!
I was told first period not meeting RTO is automatic below or partially met expectations for the whole year even if you did all your work 100%. Second time you don’t meet RTO is automatic termination not a layoff. You also have two weeks after each period if you did not meet your requirements to make any adjustments. This means adding exception days, vacation days you forgot to put in, etc. That has to be approved by your manager so make sure to speak to them.
If you do not meet your in office requirements you are at risk of being fired, not laid off, which means a swift kick in the rear out the door and no sub pay.
However, you should work with your manager if you have legitimate transportation issues. You can record excused absences in the “Time” section (i.e. - where you record vacations, etc…), of the intranet page so they don’t count against your in office requirement. Your manager should be able to explain this to you.
If you are below model, you are at risk.
