Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

When Mckinsey comes to town

“There is a distinct possibility that McKinsey may be the single greatest legitimizer of mass layoffs than anyone, anywhere, at any time in modern history.” P-o-M was sold to us by Mckinsey to give management excuse to cut costs and drive mass layoffs. Stop drinking the kool-aid and get packing folks

Heard that also.

Also heard a rumor that 30% of CAO is targeted for termination over the next 3 years? Anyone else hear this?

Came from head of CAO direct reports.

Anytime you have company management leaning on a bunch of know nothing consultant blowhards to do their thinking and decision making for them, shouldn't be in any management role of any kind! This goes to show you how unqualified, incompetent, and lazy our bank's leadership is! What a bunch of disgusting frauds!

“There are always going to be Consultants brought in to justify management decisions. It’s always done this way.“

@1ttv+1sBOgtRr imagine making the comment about others generations being pampered and then in completely self-unaware fashion, saying we need to stick to doing things that have always been done. So….just continue in mediocrity and toxicity? Because for decades it’s been done this way? What doesn’t bode well for the country is an entire older generation that actually did have everything handed to them, and think wallowing in that incompetence because you’re at the end of your career where it doesn’t matter, is the way to move forward.

In the early oughts, it was CAST Consultants that had us scanning our duties as we started and stopped each activity.

The sheer fragility of GenX on down does not bode well for this country. There are always going to be Consultants brought in to justify management decisions. It’s always done this way.

If you expected to be special from your helicopter mom and your special shelf of participation trophies here’s bad news. You need to compete now.

@1axu can't imagine how big a tool you must be to be shilling for checks note MCKINSEY.

we've had these bottom feeders in for several years and nothing has improved, or materially gotten worse? and the stock has....gone nowehere. what does that tell you? One day, you'll start doing critical thinking and see the toxic dumpster fire this place has become.

OMG so entitled. We’ve had McKinsey in pretty much every three or four years for over four decades. Always for layoffs.

The whining is over the top.
