Today and in coming days as you yourself or a coworker gets let go ask yourself when is enough enough? This didnt have to be in our bank or our country. Leadership of both have sold us, the workers and people out for their own power and their own profit. These decisions are not made with making our country or company great in the future it is to skew the balance sheet for an upcoming board meet or election. They wouldnt trade loyalty and experience for power and short term payroll reduction to hide mismangement of capital. They wouldnt tax us to rebuild the world or print money to hide their inept financial management. If they arent trying to make this company or country great they are against us. This country and company should do better but we dont stand up.

Just leave—not even just BNY, but big bank financial services. It’s a revolving door of the same problems with the same types of leadership. Pick a new industry and go try something new. The grass is probably greener.
Why would any of you remain there? No one is immune. There are soooo many good jobs out there just waiting for you. Start looking, ASAP!

Are you actually suggesting that we should return to the days of manual items processing? Those were truly mindless jobs where every hour felt like a decade. Modern Ops jobs are interesting and engaging.
We have so much automation now that layoffs are inevitable. The only bright side is that Operations jobs are more fulfilling without the drudgery. Technology jobs have always been fulfilling.
The only innovation strategy in action is changing name from Bny lemon to Bny and show it on LinkedIn how innovative they are , the point is coming at the mid year so the exec show they achieved their half yearly goals is even more hilarious 😂
