Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Workspace excellence portal

Newly designed portal shows badge swipe weekly report to managers for 6 the week period of their directs. Employee should have 4 good weeks out of the 6 weeks sliding window. It provides summary for each employee is compliant or not. Manager has an option to provide justification or escalate for non-compliant directs. Justifications are reviewed by workspace excellence team. No clarity is provided on the escalation path. Probably warning followed by termination without severance pay

Bank has data for network and VPN logs but reporting on this data is currently not available. It is currently unknown when it will made available. Probably not this year due to ongoing Funding issues .

Am i missing anything? Please do correct if i have stated anything incorrectly or posted outdated information

VPN tracking has been going on/available for years. Currently, they are tracking badge swipes. Many use HVD instead of vpn, so I suspect that they are unable to track HVD location-thus they track swipes. My question is, when do those compliant with RTO get something for their effort and when will the ‘come in or else’ punishment be defined? Take action if you want people in the office and shut up with the idle threats.

I have some evidence that HR isn't moving very fast or at all even if your manager escalates non compliance. I would say a good majority of people are complying without more "stick" but perhaps too many are not complying for HR to really fire them all.

they are tracking badge swipes only and if you have to badge in for your floor then that's the one that counts. So far they are not tracking when you are leaving.

door swipe and VPN reports have been available for many years as reported.

The question is what will Execs be forced to do with the data? 1) reduce raises? 2) performance improvement plan? 3) Fire a few low performers? but the few that are doing all the work will not be touched.

Maybe you must wear a Dunce Hat.

But this is my last time responding to it. It's nothing but noise until there's a line of people walked out the virtual door. let me know when that happens.

Do they just track batch swipe or are you required to be in the office for at least a certain number of hours for it to be considered compliant?

I think the only information we are missing now is how long it takes from the day you stop showing up in the office to termination. A lot of the quiet quitting folks would love to have this to plan how many paychecks they can milk out of this place before moving on.

You missed the recent thread where it was mentioned that VPN reports have been available for 20 years.
