Does anyone know how much the 10 week summer analysts in Manchester, UK will get paid for operations?
Currently constant talk of no bugets/potential cuts in the department, yet they annouced they bringing so many interns into the department?

Robin cares more about ‘early career’ folks than he does about ANY of the rest of us. 100%.
Why do we throw so much money into our U.K. Footprints? These are our least competent and overly compensated employees.
We had interns on our campus last year. The annualized pay was more than we pay to our 30 year veterans living on 2% or less raises all this time.
Must be nice. We haven’t had actual interns from college/ univ at my location in the US since 2014 and that’s being generous. It probably stopped well before then. We did have “interns” maybe 4 years ago from a get back on your feet type program.
I highly doubt this is true - UK employees base salary is often far below their US counterparts.
Granted the benefits are much better in the UK (pension, annual leave etc) but this is mostly due to better labour laws and having to stay competitive.
However, the actual pay is far less. For example, F grade is around £25,000 per year, G grade around £30,000, H grade around £35,000 etc.
Everything is way lucrative in the U.K. Likely the summer Interns will be paid triple U.S. Operations. It’s a mystery why we keep any employees in the U.K.
In a world where we cut costs to hire in India for some reason we love to pay our U.K. Workers triple American workers.
I don’t get the logic of that at all…
