I have been stressed lately due to unrealistic pressure from my direct line manager. The short sighted demands from my manager are just a knee jerk reaction to what my manager hears from his superiors.
I am still early in my career, but wondering if I should compain for my second line manager or its a norm in industry to just keep doing short term throw-away work to keep the boss happy?

DO NOT go to HR or anyone else. It will become WORSE, I promise. Much worse.
Sadly, you must endure it until you are let go, or PLEASE find something else quickly.
I'll pray for you and your mental health.
The bullying in that place & cruelty of gaslighting by bosses/colleagues who know it is a zero sum game (which it IS) is monstrous. Please take are of yourself.
And speak truth to power -- outside of the bank.
People need to know how people are treated there. It is NOT usual.
There will be worker protections and a union someday soon.
Until then, be good to yourself.
I was fired one month later. BS excuse (job was eliminated).
I didn't initiate the call, HR reached out to me as part of their investigation about that manager.
You’ll be let go for “financial reasons”
You’ll just be the pride of your aisle for the day, won’t you?
You will be fired within 12 months.
PIP and go?
So now we are just copy and pasting old posts? Geezus how lazy are you? Go read all the replies from this post 7 days ago.
