I'm just curious if everybody is as miserable as I am.

I’ve loved every job that I’ve ever had, from childhood to retirement. I’ve learned from every job that I’ve ever had. It’s kind of a boomer thing.
So sorry to see GenX on down struggling to gain a work ethic.
I love it now. I also left BNYM a year ago....
If you’re in the good old USA you have to hate that your job will very soon be offshored! If you’re in India, you have to hate your job because more work and tasks will be reassigned to you soon!
I like my job well enough. I used to enjoy working at BNY until Robin and his roving pack of jackals ruined this place.
I had a pretty good job where I was able to make process improvements every week and it made me passionate about my work. Then we got a new managing Director that not only discouraged these type of improvements, but implements things that made our day-to-day jobs Much harder for no good reason. Our team struggled, and our various business partners did not like the change. It was then that I realized that I was really underpaid and found happiness somewhere else
I used to love my job. I have been with the bank 23 years and with all the recent changes it is getting hard to love it. Really no point in loving it as I will be laid off eventually. At this point I'm trying to patiently wait my turn. It is getting harder every day.
So, the hours are good, are they? Though now you come to mention it, most of the actual minutes are pretty lousy.
I actually love my job. I had the constant insecurity they are downsizing and or shipping it to some flea stricken nation.
Hate it and it gets worse every year. I’m just here riding it out trying to lay low until I either come up with something to do on my own or retire.
I’ve been here 15+ years now. BNY used to be a good place to work….now not so much. I can’t even count anymore how much has been taken away from employees. Also, the lack of respect these days is just unbelievable!
Don’t like it, banking is the pits.
Same here love financial services, love technology. I’ve I always said that I can’t believe that they pay me to do this. If you don’t love your job you owe it to yourself to think through your hobbies and determine what you should be doing.
I actually like what I do and work with a great team (IT), otherwise I would have left a long time ago.
I've been here a long time. Didn't actually despise my job until platform operating model came along.
I know someone that used to work there (he was laid off years ago from an IT position) and he always hated it. He's happy in his current job.
