I actively discouraged a friend yesterday from applying for a job opening here. I couldn't in good conscience let him make that big of a mistake without saying something. I don't know if he'll listen to me, but I made sure to tell him everything that's been bothering me for the past year or two - and let me tell you, there was a lot! I did my part. The rest is on him.

Great job! I am doing the same, such a crazy place with layoffs happening so frequently..I wouldn’t advice anyone to join until the dust settles!
Same, I’m glad others are doing this. At worst, if you are a new hire here, don’t update your resume and say you are doing contract work for the bank. There won’t be a material change in this reckless and incoherent “strategy” by leadership until the bottom falls out, both talent-wise with the best leaving and not being able to hire anyone new that’s competent, and revenue going south. Good job McKinsey, you couldn’t sit still after hooking America on prescription dr-gs, you’ve also managed to destroy a once storied American financial institution. I would bet my life savings Boeing has been a client of yours in the last two decades, because what’s happening here sounds crazy similar to what the Boeing documentaries point to happening as a precursor to disaster.
Bless you.
@OP, I gave the same advice to my cousin and she didn’t believe me. So I told her a few contacts and told her to ask around. She has a much better job now.
Losers!
and this is worth posting ? go love your family
I have told friends to not apply. The environment is toxic and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
@OP - you are truly a good friend.
