So.... the mandatory in-person meeting in Montreal. What else could it be?

This feels Montréal-centric, which is surprising given SEC/semiconductors miserable performance the past several years.

why do they need people to travel to Montreal to announce this in person, super confused. Have other companies done this?
They are currently hiring for US (NY ,Mountain View) but nothing for Canada
Anyone with insights about the meeting? Has there been previous similar instances for those that worked there several years?
TBH, I'm not waiting to find out for certain. I'm already looking for jobs
Sounds like layoffs to me...how can we figure out? this meeting is stressing me out
