@1aui+1ttCGSH. There are layoffs almost every month. I work in hr or whatever we are called now. If you say there are no layoffs you have to be blind. Just because your team may not be affected does not mean they are not taking place. The company is a disaster. HR management is a joke especially senior managers in New York.

7/18 is the date names need to be in for September action. Cuts are deep if you don't have many reports.

Imagine having such a pathetic life that you don’t work for bny & have no idea what’s going on here but you post no stop nonsense on every thread every day.

Imagine living through the real layoff era from 2000 through 2008, 10% layoff per year, every year, no exceptions.

Yahoo Finance shows that that total BONY employment is growing?

What do you mean by epic fail? There were layoffs. We saw them. Is it the fact that BNY isn’t doing them all at once but trickling them in like slow torture that’s got your pa-ties in a bunch? You make the slow torture so much worse. They can’t do it all at once. 1. It’s not the same issue as 20 years ago. 2. Offshore can’t handle it yet or else they would do it all at once. I’ve worked here since the early 2000’s just not in your location. My experience was the opposite of yours. Back then I remember hearing they’ll be a large layoff most likely from a news article. We would all be super stressed out, and my location never saw it. We had enough turnover that they’d just freeze rehiring and maybe 1 person got laid off or someone would retire early. The big difference was those positions would eventually reopen as the market improved. Now there is no chance of that in the US at least. They are just very slowly laying off people enough to keep it under the radar until non growth centers can be officially closed and the work transferred offshore. That’s what’s making this so much worse. And obviously BNY isn’t the only company doing this. So to keep telling us our experience means nothing because it’s not what you experienced 20+ years ago is BS and all you are doing is adding to our depression. You aren’t helping any. Go away. You are irrelevant.

There haven’t been constant layoffs since the 10% per year, every year, from 2000 crash through 2008 toxic assets crash.

Current employees have absolutely no concept of how good they have it. Boomers took the 12,000 cuts to get us right sized and yes, you’re welcome.

You’re welcome.

Sorry chicken little. You need to get a new hobby. I’ve made it a point to attend these supposed giant layoffs and they never ocurred .

January 6th… an epic fail

February layoff… an epic fail

June layoff… an epic fail

What happened to you to make you want to scare and stress out coworkers?
I attended both and there were no layoffs. They were stress free days

Stop scaring people with your bizarre hobby.

This happens all the time. More so after reviews because they are looking at low performers first

Exactly, every month there are layoffs, some more than others. Stop with the date nonsense.

Dermot looking for 15 pct lower headcount.

I heard the next action will be in September and November/December. Cutting heads is the primary lever for management to pull to reduce expense.

No but I’ve heard September will be grim. Managers don’t even know who picked the names or why………

There are constant layoffs at BNY, so dates like this don’t really matter much anymore!
