Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

What are people hearing about severance packages in 2025?

Hearing that 2 weeks per year is changing to 1 week.

Anyone confirm?

@6xza It very much IS a defined benefit. If you worked here you would find it on MySource right under the main benefits tab, but you don't work here so I can see how you're confused.

Reminder kids, 42 doesn't work here and his comments are irrelevant.

Seems like every year for the past 5 to 10, there have been rumors of sub-pay being cut. It has never happened, and as of right now, I have never heard or seen anything substantive to make me believe that it will happen. Keep in mind, these sub-pay agreements protect the company from litigation as well as benefits the employees being displaced. So in that single respect, it's "win-win". If sub-pay is ever cut, the entire game changes immediately. People now feel completely vulnerable to begin searching for new jobs while they still have one. And quickly, litigation becomes a much greater possibility. I may be naive, but I don't see it happening, and I hope it doesn't.

Batman told Robin “We’ve got to save Gotham”
Robin E.Vinced an incredible sneer
Alfred joined in with support of the Batman
Robin displaced them right then and there.
