Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Anyone know why we’re being forced to take them on teams when they are set up for a 6 month rotation then move to another team. How is that beneficial or helpful to teams who need staff?

They gain good experience but then take it somewhere else. Most of them end up leaving after a year or two once the rotation is over. It’s kind of like a family not raising their own kids and instead the exchange student there for 6 months gets all the investments but doesn’t have to do any chores.

It's not helpful to you, it's not meant to be helpful to the existing teams. This whole thing is meant to train up an entire new workforce to replace the rest of us over time.
