There's been a strange surge in promotions lately, with employees who don’t seem to know how to do their core jobs. And when someone lacks the knowledge, intelligence, or experience for their role, they get defensive, especially when they feel challenged or fear being exposed. As a result, we are seeing a rise in bullies, both in management and among regular employees hoping to move up the ladder. How is this good for the company in the long run?

This always how it goes at every company. This is nothing unique to BNY.
promotions will be half of what they were last year which is kind of sad. They will have to pick their favorites for sure if that's the case. we enter an era where the avg person will get promoted every 15 years at that rate
