Does anyone know the salary bands for J and K in Manchester, UK.
Currently on 41K (J) and feel very underpaid. Also, presuming i'm low in the band, does this reduce the risk of layoffs?

There seems to be one person on this board who dislikes UK employees for some reason. Whilst there are some overpaid and entitled employees in the UK (as there are everywhere), it is not the case that most are. Given the cost of living, BNY pay towards the low end of salary ranges for the banking sector in the UK. Just look at Glassdoor and loads of reviews there criticise the salary. Yes it’s more than India but the cost of living is greater. As for being ‘impossible to fire’, that is not true as many people are regularly laid off in the UK. But the fact that labour laws are better in the UK than say the US for example is a problem with the US, not the UK.
Manchester is the home of the most entitled and overpaid employees… and due to labour laws impossible to fire. We need to close the UK and service from India.
I was a K in Manchester 4 years ago on £66,500k
Wow Manchester seems very expensive - why is it a growth centre?
Felt underpaid for 22 years. The “discussions” didn’t help to increase pay. Kind of a get what you get situation.
Mid point for J in Manchester is £53,000. So yes, you are underpaid.
£41K (J) is very low for Manchester
With Manchester scooping up roles from upcoming office closures here in the UK and in Ireland you have big bucks coming your way 💰💰💰
