Ah yes, I see the remote work hater is back. No one else uses the word “refusenik”

@2duq+1vy8TfUH “This is the main reason why we haven’t even had one single layoff this year.” Didn’t your high school teacher teach you that when you see broad terms like this you’re most likely wrong!

Considering that both the January and the February 2024 big layoffs were cancelled I wouldn’t worry about layoffs. Now it’s displace the RTO Refuseniks because when they refuse to work, they have self-terminated and therefore receive no SUB. This is the main reason why we haven’t even had one single layoff this year.

@1pln+1vy8TfUH Are you living in a pretend world? There have been layoffs for the last couple years. They were laying of US and increasing offshore at the same time. I guess now they think offshore has caught up so now it’s time to also scale them back.

From what I saw, over the course of all of 2025 layoffs will be approximately 1,800 people for operations or about 10%.

There are lots of rumors of lots of dates for 2025. What isn’t a rumor is that historically the week of MLK day is used for prior year layoffs. They like to make sure year end deliverables and reconciliations are tied up before letting the resources who complete them go. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a noticeable amount laid off Jan 21-24.

From prior posts, it will be between 5 to 10 thousand company wide (globally). The target is 10 percent overall. Each LOB, each department, each geographic location will be impacted differently.
