I found the gold, Silver and Platinum star rewards are normally given because the person has given up there life and worked more hours than Brian so they try to compensate with a little award such as $100.00 bucks and slap them on the ass and say nice job. The Carrot keeps dangling in their face and the dummy keeps working long hours for eventually $4.25 and hour. I saw a few who were given implied threatening techniques to work the hours as a team player or else "because you are in-charge of your own career here at the bank".

They are doing a great job of keeping expensive upper managers who reward each other with "gold star" rewards - redeemable for hundreds of dollars - just for showing up. The real workers are being laid off and dumped on. Leaving the remaining workers who have to pick up the extra work. One manager told me that they laid off a guy who was over 60 - had been working at Bank of America for 30 or 40 years ("he has a nice severance"). But, does the dude have a mortgage? Is he supporting his wife, their kids, their grandkids? These managers justify whatever they want.

I've learned that upper managerment has NO IDEA what it takes to run/change the bank.

We’ll I work on the IT side, I've been around for about 5 years. I learned that you have to watch your back and that people will throw you under the bus if there is a turmoil somewhere. You are never safe and you should trust nobody. I really like flexibility of being able to work from home sometimes and since I have little kids.
