They are doing a great job of keeping expensive upper managers who reward each other with "gold star" rewards - redeemable for hundreds of dollars - just for showing up. The real workers are being laid off and dumped on. Leaving the remaining workers who have to pick up the extra work. One manager told me that they laid off a guy who was over 60 - had been working at Bank of America for 30 or 40 years ("he has a nice severance"). But, does the dude have a mortgage? Is he supporting his wife, their kids, their grand-kids? These managers justify whatever they want.
