Fly by night managers who work from home?

Does anyone have fly by night managers who work from home three weeks out of the month. These managers think they are supernatural and can effectively manage the office working from home. Well I have news; these are the worst managers you could possibly hire. Worthless to the office and they create calculated excuses on how well they perform their job. If you are not on site, you are not managing your employees!

Managing does not mean from rumors and others word of mouth. It is called getting your hands dirty and you are not an effective manager if you are not in the office.

Why do we pay for a service you cannot effectively perform?

I worked as a frontline manager (meaning - in the office EVERY DAY) handling not only MY 12 direct reports, but also the 10-15 other direct reports of 2 other lazy assed managers who constantly worked from home. I did this for THREE of the FIVE years that I worked for BofA in mortgage servicing. I finally got disgusted by continually having to do the job of three people whilst not being acknowledged nor compensated for the extra work and decided to retire from the bank last December. I totally agree that unless you are in PHYSICALLY PRESENT in the office, you are ineffective as a manager. Leaving BofA was the best decision I ever made!

I would expect Bank of America employees to make a statement “God does not exist”. The United States military believes in GOD. This helps solidify the belief Bank of America is not an American Bank and is run by children with no real life experience.

The India employees are the kindest people I have ever met and are trying to make a buck like everyone. They are mistreated by 90% of the managers. They are treated like dirt, slaves verbally beaten up, treated like trash (worse than the USA citizens). I was totally disgusted with the managers. Where do you managers get the balls to dehumanize people? This bank needs to clean house starting with the managers, governance board, HR and to be honest if the Pharaoh is letting this happen maybe it is time to eliminate the main devil sinner. I pray you people will be punished after living your long and evil life. Jesus will not save you for your inhuman torturous ways. Laugh as you will but there is energy after life and you will meet your maker and be judged as you have judged. I ask all the employees to pray for the sinners to be dammed because they had there chance to be saved and ignored the calling. Hear my prayer!!!

CEO’s prefer not to hold stockholders meetings around their corporate headquarters or limit by invitation only. This is because they do not want their own employees to come.

The party begins when the expensed jet takes off. Waste our money and party it up people. You deserve it because you eliminated headcount to save money.

Working from home some days and commuting by car seems to be standard for employees but a manager three weeks away from the office and expensing airline cost. Is bank security in on this deal (Very important materials can be lost).

Let us apply common sense since the Bank is not using it.

I will leave my teenagers and college student alone while I leave on vacation for three weeks. Of course I will give direction to them each day by phone. On second thought, this would be a bad idea. Hats off to the bank, this is not rocket science. HR knows who these managers are because they expense the airline flight. Each department is given a budget and these are expenses.

I had a manager that worked from home as she was in a completely different state. She was the most useless manager ever. She did absolutely nothing while the rest of my team busted our butts on projects. When most of my team was laid off, she and my other manager were kept on in some sort of "sweet deal".

I was allowed to work from home some days, so I can't completely knock the my work program, but there has to be an equal balance of home/office face time to be effective in management!

Let me tell you one thing - you cannot manage unless you are in the office. Period.
