Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

What locations will be affected in the next round of layoffs (August 2015)

Does anyone have any info? Or, if you feel that your location might be in danger, please let me know. I am in Simi Valley and I think we'll be hit hard again. This is probably the tenth round of layoffs we are going through, and I can tell you that people are so anxious and tired with the process, it's so unstable and people have families to feed. God bless.

Storage operations is on the chopping block. Pressure to off shore operations and/or out source. The guy they brought in Jorge Zapata is Key to the plan and is making his recommendation in September. He brought in all his people and fired several BoA / ML key players so they could control the desired direction. EMC is gonna be pissed when it all plays out.

Folks in fulfillment had a nice addition added to their title. Loan processors and their team lead. It's been put out there for months as to what's happening. Won't be long before they drop the bomb.

Stay strong in Simi!!! I was let go from Simi in the beginning of 2013 and it was rough. Just keep communicating about what you hear and get as much information as you can. Start preparing yourselves and making contingency plans, network with former employees for heads up on jobs at other businesses.

@Anonymous122157 - well put. What is an associate to do. why work hard, performance review won't matter will it. sit back find the nearest webex, check the smart phone, rinse repeat wait to get the tap on the shoulder. collect package, move to india and try to get your old job back. bank of america, raise the flag of ghandi

4 here, 5 there, on this site you read of huge layoffs coming. There are usually layoffs on the days rumored, but have they been huge. I guess if you are one of the 4 it is huge. But it doesn't seem like a automobile plant shutdown at any of them. Looks like just a repeating pattern with disturbing frequency for anyone who is still employed that in a few weeks time you might be tapped. You won't get org names because most aren't dumb enough to give such details. Folks hate the thought of being cut but they hate the thought of losing a package too. Bridget spoke of right sizing said they were going to be done in the first quarter. Lie. Looks like they will just cut and cut and cut until they find out it really hurts and hopefully then it will be too late and they will really suffer. But they won't because so many folks are desperate to work. They obviously have an agenda and that agenda is all associates are a liability to the bottom line and they will get rid of as many of them as they can.
