Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Looks like 9/9 for Pittsburgh layoffs. Anybody's guess of how many. Any clues out there?

In regards to Anonymous144701 post. You are so right. It is only a matter of time until the Pittsburgh office closes. I can't believe the naitivity of everyone. Maybe it is a matter of hopefullness. I knew the entire time, until the day that I was let go, that my time there was nearing it's end. Each day that I was there was another day of looming doom. The day that I was let go, I felt a sense of despair. I wanted to cry but I just couldn't. I was overwhelmed by the sense of relief. The many months of worry was finally at an end. I was sad because of the friends that I would miss. All in all, I am happy to be away from that "less than a great place to work". The not so sincere "big meetings of encouragement" were ridiculous. The messages of hope were hidden behind lies. That is no way to treat loyal employees. Then again, Bank of America does not care how badly they treat their employees. It is all about the bottom line, money in the pockets of those who rule the régime. They want more and more and they get it. Forget those who do the real work to make the business successful. Like all businesses, the "little" guys get the least of everything. I have resigned myself to the fact that being let go was the best thing for me. I am not on that BOA roller coaster any longer. I wish the best of luck for those still doing their calls to duty at the Pittsburgh office. Don't forget, there are still a few good and honest team managers there.

Pittsburgh employees are some of the most clueless and naive people on this earth. Most of the employees are in total denial. I thought it was the worst place to work while I was there, but I have since had a change of heart since a friend of mine who still works there told me about a big meeting that recently took place. Now I believe it to be worse than the worst place to work if that is even possible. She tells me there was a "positive" meeting regarding a transition to an entirely different job with b of a at Allegheny Center. so the existing employees are to train people in Arizona to do the 10 files that are left for Pittsburgh to do. So....ok. Another site will gain the little scraps of work that Pittsburgh currently does. I can understand that seeing that this Arizona site already exists. So my question to my friend was simply this. "What will your new job be?" She responds, " I have no clue." What???? Your have no clue??? So she goes on to tell me that the "managers" or "leaders" gave this big announcement without any knowledge of what Pittsburgh's new job will be. Are you kidding me? So let me get this straight here. The clear answer or information that was relayed to the employees was that you will NO longer be doing the job that your have been doing for 4years. Sounds to me that the Pittsburgh site is being used to demonstrate a " business as usual" approach until the scraps can be gobbled up by another site. You people only know other people will be doing your job in the near future but have no clue what your job will be. Has anyone put an inkling of thought as to why you may have gotten zero answers at your big meeting? Wow. I mean wow. I guess they obviously got rid of all of the employees who had any common sense. I am sure all of the team leads took the bait on this one because they get to be " managers" now and do absolutely nothing, so I can see why they probably got excited about staying open just to have a job. The leadership at that place was bad when I was there and from who I know is still there it is just laughable. Your time is running out. Go ahead and root your little teams on and train that other site so Pittsburgh can "shine." Pittsburgh shine? Give me a break. I sincerely doubt Bank Of America is that insufficient to run a new department at a site that has more bathroom stalls than employees in it. At least when I worked there you worried about dirty restrooms and lines for the microwaves. I feel so bad for the ones still left there. Well, at least for those who realize how pathetic that place truly is. I was worried about losing my job while I was there, but like they say....hindsight is 20/20. I have been happier than I have been for a ling time since getting let go there. My only regret was not getting that push sooner. Look around folks. Everyone just cares about themselves there. Once you leave you wouldn't believe how much more meaningful your life feels. So those of you still there that are excited about this job your own leaders somehow know nothing about..... ( laughable), get a clue. The end result for the Pittsburgh site has not changed. Your "leaders" smile only because they now have a few more months to act like they are important. Anyways, before anyone that reads this starts judging me for ranting this long.......maybe you should think about how you sat there and spent the same amount of time and read this....the funny thing is if you read this you most likely agree with me. If you think this " new" job you will be doing is a sure thing, then why are you waisting time reading a "layoff rumor" site? In closing I will tell all who still work there.......when the day comes where you get a new job, it is quite refreshing to have work meetings where you discuss work strategy instead of closing rumors and work anniversaries. Good luck to all. Just remember....you still have a lot to offer the real workplace. Your dive truly gets lost at that sad place. I hope all of those still there find that drive again soon as I found mine. God bless folks

Dear Nothing - exactly, PGH doc ex appears to be going to send their work to Chandler,AZ. Pitt already doesn't have enough work. Better hope you are included in the 1st re-deployment. Don't see them guaranteeing any jobs. Costs the bank too much money to keep that site open for just one department. Just a suggestion - get your resume updated and posted. Saw at least one VP/UM already updated on 8/14/15 their resume and posted it. Several other PGH assoc on the site also. check out indeed.com - quite a few assoc from Addison doc ex also,

You are a hopeless fool if you honestly believe that Anonymous141496. If you were in the meeting, you would think you would comprehend the writing is on the wall. You like training other people to take your job?
