I will think about my predictions for the future of the company while munching on Amy's Burritos... 5 for $10 this week at Publix. And they won't change the price in the middle of the promotion or cancel it altogether if it's "too successful" like you know who.

i can see them selling the stores to walmart,so walmart can have an expensive option and a foodstamp option.also i see that mackey could make a ton of money by selling those whole foods items not labeled 365 to walmart/wfm...but keep the 365 line for the new stores..interesting.....

i think they will sell the company to walmart but retain the rights to produce the 365 product line(so walmart will have to buy products from mackey.) and then they will put all the money into the cheaper 365 line to be competitive...low overhead and less management..sandwichs and juice bars outsourced..etc..within 5 years

If they are lucky, no more than a decade. Amazon alone, is crushing them.

5 more years unless they move fast to adjust prices in line with mainstream companies. The level of organic food saturation on the market is giving consumers more shopping options.

The Whole Foods I knew lasted 24 years. I have no idea this newer WF will last.
