Dui ASTLs

Did you know they let ASTLS have 4 DUIs and keep their jobs?? How's that for being a leader. #hinsdale

We went to some kind of All*Star vision day thing years ago. Our stl was passed out drunk in his hotel room while we were all ready to go to the event, waiting in the hotel lobby. This was normal, don't know if it still is becase I got out. Hearing from some people that it still goes on doesn;t surprise me one bit.

I've called the tipline on my TL before (she refuses to use her own schedule) after she wrote up her ATL because she was trying to get the ATL fired and promote a friend. Things straightened out a little, but the ATL ended up leaving in disgust and he was really awesome. He's at publix now, and we're left with this lying cheating woman who sleepes with the ASTL. Not very fun times here.

My team leader is a true sociopath. He steals product all the time, management knows about it, yet they do absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, valuable "team members" are abused and generally treated like garbage by this scum bag.

I had a true psychopath for a TL, for years. She would cuss people out, intimidate them, make people cry on her team. It was a true nightmare having to work around her. A few times the tipline was called because of her behavior, and maraculously she'd be supported by leadership. It was weird as heck. I learned that you can get away with almost any kind of bad behavior as a leader, if your sales are good. I think the real reason she was ultamately let go (after 8 years!!) was the team sales were dropping, not because she was on some insane power trip.

I have one! When I was a signmaker a few years ago my printer died. Now this was my second printer in 4 years ( both crapped out just before the Holidays, oddly!). The second time I knew better and sent out all kinds of store ALL emails that I did not have a printer and I'd try my best to get the SPA signs out.

Well I was there one weekend and there was an Early Bird Sale. I sent out the email, I cannot print in color, my printer is down. How can I print with no printer? I wasn't connected to another B&W printer, no DTS to set me up, I was out of luck.

My ASTL was furious that I didn't have the signs up. Really mad.

He waited until our STL came for his shift and they WROTE ME UP. For not getting the signs out. No amount of logic reached this dim bulb. Plus I had asked repeatedly for a tech to come and FIX the printer. True story.

A TL at my store (SO) steals product, and management knows all about it but he smokes them up so, it's all good. I wish that was a joke, but even the ASTL tried to get them fired after finding out about it, but they don't smoke pot, the STL does and is very close with this TL. Pretty gross.

OMG! This post could lead to one big, long list of totally over the top f-ups by our ASTLs, regional bigwigs and STLs! DUIs don't even merit inclusion here as that is not serious enough. Everybody start telling the craziest stories you know, right here, right now! For starters I am thinking in particular about a current FL STL who got to keep his job in spite of weapons charges etc for going nuts one night and in a fit of road rage chasing and shooting at another car in traffic. Things sure got real that night but it wasn't a parking lot...

We held a guys job in the meat department for him after he got out of jail for a DUI - then he was immediately promoted. Most of our leadership was hired after they failed to meet standards at our competitions (Frys, Safeway, etc.) but somehow they're good enough for Whole Foods!

To be fair, why should matter. If they aren't driving catering trucks, it doesn't matter. A TM would not be fired for the same thing. My GIG from 7 years ago specifically said, just don't be f---ed up at work, what you do on your own time is your business. I often had fellow TM's talk very openly about drug use. In fact, I could use some and can't think of a better source then my late TM friends!!!

We had a astl named Megan for a while. She was drunk all the time! She got sent to another store because leadership was afraid she'd get knocked up by one of the porters. She's probably been fired or is in jail somewhere.
