Floriduh Region here, so on the store level we lost our MKT Team and one ASTL. Labor surplus is close to nine grand for the week. That just seems insanely high. Talk amongst yourselves.

I work on a front end in floriduh...never enuff staffing,so registers get backed up with overly entitled customers and silicone babes...they love to hire these team leaders from like winndixied or other retail who will be yes men to the shit show regional has sown with the labor budgets..and i heard the trader joes, one block away from FTL is goving them serious competition...
Florida region is a shit show. Slashing labor. To the point that front end never has enough registers open. Overworking staff the point of exhaustion. All they care about is what looks good on paper.
PBS came back in the form of GENERALISTS (more pay less things to do)
By dumping the labor costs of marketing/demo/artist/astl and moving that ssi position to front end, admin gonna make money while nobody else does
Just curious, what would the PBS position reappear as?
The Florida region never had any genuine (direct) competitions compared to other regions till recently and the reaction is more of an impulse to cost saving measures. It's another wait and see move. Reminds me of the elimination of PBS positions only to reappear under a different name.
The concern should be long term and not short term. Sales will get some serious beatings, loss in market share and the surplus will evaporate like a candle in the wind.
the metro positions that the stores are being squeezed
into across the company supposedly started in the FL region. Do you guys find them to be an awesome labor savor and is the tradeoff is worth it?
