Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Earnings Call

I'm a customer of 20 years almost, and here's what I gathered from the call:

-WF toadally, really, has the best products being sold

-People just don't know how good WF's products are!, so advertising is going to be ramped up

-The fancy customer experience will be re-emphasized, but somehow with fewer employees working overall

-Computers will save us all

-Maaaaybe WF might sorta lower prices? They tried and it didn't work ;)

-A wizard will fix it

Okay, I don't work at WF. Maybe I'm in a different area of the country than you all. But what the heck is "Frankie's"?

They are going to start shutting down stores. There's no way they can keep this pyramid scheme going.

haha, i don't buy prepared foods and cheese there. only a scant few boxed treats and organic raw produce. besides, the way my body reacted to the ever-declining hot foods bar told me all i needed to know about their 'highest quality' foods. full of cross contamination and middling quality ingredients. sure was nice back in the day, being able to eat stuff at WF. i took stock tonight and the local supermarket chain has everything aside from produce that i buy at WF, and for cheaper. if i eat that cal-organic junk, i could even get organic produce at the local supermarket. i often switch to the local co-op and get all my local, organic produce there. maybe get some meat at WF still? i just don't see where WF fits in...

Feel sorry for these cheap customers ..hate them and despise all their cheap behavior at WFM

The best products? Lol. Try week old food in the prepared foods department. What about scraping off mold from cheese in specialty departments? You shop there. You don't know what happens behind closed doors.

They think that they can "attract" new customers to these stores with promotions and once their inside they will want to buy all sorts of stuff. No they will come inside and be shocked at how expensive everything is.
