I just realized that this forum is the true barometer of team member morale in this company right now. So, I guess leadership was correct in not investing in a third-party company to organize such a survey...

LOL. This "forum" consists almost entirely of people who have been fired for their sh-- work performance and people who SHOULD be fired for their sh-- work performance.
I couldn't agree more. This is the real uncensored morale survey, read it and weep.
Leadership is terrified of what employees actually think about them.
They would have spent $500,000 on the survey and not allowed anyone to see it.
Well said.
I know for a fact that STLs read items posted on here because some of them have mentioned this forum specifically. I don't care about driving sales or magical, unknowable, constantly changing retail standards. WFM screwed up and customers are taking notice. I am disgruntled and still work for the company. I made the wrong choice.
I bet they read every post on here, all the time. Of course they've labelled us as disgruntled. So what? If you're running a business you have to learn from your toughest critics and customers. Once you believe the yes-men, yes-women, regional ass-kissers and your own marketing, you're done. Anyway it's still a valuable forum to share our collective experiences as 198318 pointed out. As Elvis Costello wrote, "I used to be disgusted, now I try to be amused."
I was part of the first round of lay offs after 7 years with the company and I can sat that I bled WF green, but I sure as hell would no longer be sorting my trash, recycling rubber bands, etc, if I were still in my store. I would be going out of my way to not give a shit about the company. I will still do these things at home, be a good steward of the planet, but if I was in a store, well, I'd do everything against Core Values.
They should care that we're disgruntled. Not everyone on this forum was laid off, I'd say most of us disgruntled folks still work at wf. I find it difficult to care about "driving sales" or saving or earning the company money, because I loathe the upper management asshats so much. I used to care about my job and take pride in my work, now I feel like it's a sad joke and I'm the punchline. Now I just grit my teeth through every day that drags by, and pray that I get a golden severance package in the inevitable next round of layoffs.
I hope leadership,,management or whatver you want to call them is reading EVERYTHING on this board. I hope they are ashamed of themselves for screwing up each store in their own way and for unneccessarily causing tension amongst us TM's. They are TRAITORS, & liars. Read our words, you incompetant snakes from the pit of hell. Go bite yourselves. We speak the truth.
This forum has confirmed that everyhing I was feeling about WFM is correct...I am not disgruntled .....I am happier then a no antibiotic, hormone free Turkey, let's add Kosher too, that just got saved! LOL...ahh,,,,,BREATHE....I would love to see those immoral jive talking leadership's faces when they have to run the turkeys and actually look customers in the face. Hey leadership how's your morale? Mine is SUPER NOW!
Omg! That's too funny!! You're right on target with " and we're doing the morale survey every othger year" crap!! Believe me Leadership is talking more about this forum than your average team member!!
I don't think Leadership would take anything published here seriously. We have already been labeled as "disgruntled". The best thing to come out of this forum is that TM's from all over the country are getting to voice their experiences and know that they aren't alone. Leadership has been aware of the problems for quite awhile.
