i find this hard to believe. The location sucks, and i heard it was going to be remodeled & updated. Anyone know the truth? The Vineyard store has incompetent leadership, but keeps hobbling on, for now, somehow, despite the rampant theft.

Dain's morning huddles are such bullshit. Least inspirational STL in SW history. Calls them right before we open and then wonder we're not set up in time.
The only thing the stl is good for is a pity f-ck.
He's probably too afraid to mess up his hair to get any. No wonder he's so erratic and disorganized, fruuuuustrated.
When you spend all your time pretending to be something you're not and staring at the titties of beer girls as wfm sponsored cooking events, it's no wonder he's so disfunctional...amongst other issues.....

If any sw store closed, itd be qry.
Youre a glutton for punishment or fraught with suicidal tendencies if you think staying at that location will benefit you at all.
Also..they wont tell you until the legal deadline to do so. They dont want the store abandoned overnight...tho after hearing the layoff numbers fm qry specifically and the residual outflow of people who just had enough, it might as well just shutdown overnight.
Even if you ask, theyll say its a rumor.

This is the rumor going around. I wish leadership would talk to us. No store meetings or ANY INFO AT ALL coming from leadership.
Don't know if I should be looking for another job. If they're just going to close the store a heads up would be nice. I envy the severed.
QRY is run by a clueless hipster clique. Tattletales for any infraction (where's your name tag? Here's a write-up!!!). Dain got the job because he does not mind firing good, hard, workers who have been there long enough to earn "too many raises" over time. He knows there's a bespectacled kid with half his head shaved who will carry those bags, or make that pizza for 6 bucks less on part time with no benefits.
Quarry was suppose to have been remodeled years ago. This was around the time domain opened. When they decided to remodel gateway instead of closing it, the money for quarry went to that. They basically gave qry a paint and mini decor face lift. After years, new lighting was slowly being installed..but it all seemed to come to a halt. All Ive dug up are long running rumors, but they're possible. The lease at the qry shopping center is supposedly up in 2016. Regional leadership had been in SA earlier in 2015 scoping out properties over near the pearl. Some people speculate due to slumping sales and the fact that the demographic wfm shoots for has altered dramatically in SA since the quarry store was first built, that the qry will be shuttered and a 365 store will eventually replace it, leaving the vnd on the richy rich northside for all the chumps and conspicious consumption drones. There have been no substantial, or even technically REAL remodels at qry in a long time. All the meetings and time they spent making wishlists and drawing up blueprints was a huge waste of labor. They cant even keep the registers functioning half the time, and good luck finding a box cutter or piece tape in that damn place. Or toilet paper for that matter. Also, wfm lost their chance at an urban downtown market in sanantonio- heb is about to open on chavez and s. Flores in king william.
The qry store has always been a steaming pile of crap, but because it got ignored for almost a decade by austin and regional, only now are the gravity of its problems being to weigh heavy on their minds. Its been bleeding out money, supplies and labor, breeding backstabbers, perverts and adulterers whose scandals would rival anything done by the regional people and up. I dont suppose you heard about the witch hunt for pot smokers? That was ridiculous.....

Yeah the Quarry "leadership" is a joke too. So many longtime guests can't relate to the hipster STL so clueless to this town's needs.
