Did anyone else catch the big gaff on the December All Hands Call where during the Celebration/Recognition segment they recognized an employee for an outstanding job, saying he help save costs, was a leader who really contributed, was innovative and we were lucky to have them on our team....only to have someone say he was impacted by the layoffs the week before. Talk about dead silence and move on quickly. Wonder who lost their job for allowing that one to be presented. What a joke.

Looks like Allegheny Center in Pittsburgh will be doing credit card collections. They will be hiring probably. I will bet they will be temps so BoA won't have to pay benefits. They canned good workers. Let them go to look for other jobs. Now this. Typical! A-holes

9uav....... I have to agree with everything that YOU wrote. I don't know what office you are referring to, but it sounds exactly the same as the site where I worked. Morale was horrible among most. Upper management wanted you to believe everything they said, then the next day people were let go when we

were told no layoffs coming. HA! They lie and deceive and stab people in the back. Friends were talking behind each other's backs hoping to score points. The level of stress was huge. Going to work every day actually made me sick to my stomach. You never really knew for sure when your day was coming. Then you see people being asked to go to another room. Everyone would look around in fear and sorrow. They were letting more of the work family disappear. It was terrible. Then one manager would walk around and say things like, "just be glad you still have a job" or "it happens to the best of us" after she put on a show of tears and sobbing. So insincere. That manager still works there. One of the fakest of people I have ever met. I guess that's what they want working at Bank of America. Well, she talks herself up, it was HER idea, she calls out people's mistakes so everyone can hear and she kisses a$$.

Yes, heads are going to be chopped yet again. More really good people.

Agree with everything @-8csw said, except for no information or guidance. In large all hands gathering at year end, it was reconfirmed there is more hacking to come. Why bother even trying, can't blame anyone for just sitting back and waiting for their turn. Wait till they show some renewed stability in the workplace, until then, screw em.

Working here has become beyond stressful. No information or guidance from upper management just silence. This was a good place to work at one time now just day to day office misery. Moral at all time low. Actually very sad.

Due to this environment some coworkers grandstand and try to make other team members look bad at the expense of the team.

Upper management could care less what is going on below them.

Stockholders would be appalled if they were aware of how the bank was mismanaged.

If you work in any aspect of legacy (countrywide) servicing, be prepared to relocate to alternative employment at a moment's notice.

Severance would be bigger than bonus in our department!

I think they are staging them to help avoid the media coverage likely with a single big round of layoffs. Just do a handful at a time and people are less likely to notice.

Idiom challenged. A carrot over your head wouldn't be all that threatening to make a point. Usually you'd prefer a Sword of Damocles, a guillotine in a pinch, or even an anvil if you prefer warner brothers cartoons. But, a normal sized carrot isn't going to be all that threatening or stressful.

Right completely agree with previous poster - I saw people with 20 plus year let go 10 days before Christmas when a wave was also done on 12/3, why not let them go then? Brace yourselves, get your resumes ready. If you play your cards right you can have a job lined up and bank your severance. I am ready - ready to move on with life and not have this carrot dangled over my head!

I am Jack’s total lack of surprise. They laid off a bunch of guys before the holidays. So why would anyone be surprised to see others get their papers before bonuses?
