Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

IF YOU SIGNED A SEVERANCE AGREEMENT PLEASE READ

I was laid off by the bank last December and 100% completely and totally agree with the the writer of the post "Bank of America .. Not the best company to work for as they claim". Absolutely hit the nail on the head. However, in the post the writer states that they signed a severance agreement, which I did as well. The severance agreements include a 'non-disparagement' clause which basically says that you can't speak, write, make smoke signals, etc., anything negative about Bank of America. Ever. The one caveat is if you're called to testify in a court of law. Bank of America is a nasty mofo when it comes to suing the crap out of people so please just careful about posting too much detailed information, i.e. office + initials of specific manager in that location, etc.

These are anonymous posts. There would have to be absolute proof of who posted what. It would be hard to prove who actually typed in the message. So when people post here, it would be hard to prove, in a court of law, whether you or I or my neighbor did the actual posting. Personally, the poster had every right to post what he or she wanted. Post on this site are said to be anonymous. If they truly are not, then that is another suit waiting to happen. Come on, people sue for everything these days and win. The OP is safe. No need to worry.

Well, I'm not an employee so I can say what I want to about BOA. We had been with them since they absorbed Nations Bank. Service has always been awful. Only keep enough cash in an account to use the ATM's as we travel quite a bit. We did pull all our investments. They try to rip you off with fees left and right. Wanted to charge me $25.00 for a wire transfer. I said give it to me in a cashiers check. The Credit Unions do everything for free compared to BOA. Went through the drive thru one day in one state to get cash, and they wanted me to come into the bankk discuss a home loan. I was buying a home in another state where BOA doesn't operate. Talk about creepy. I said ...No Thank You. I
