Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Why stay if you hate WFM so much?

I am seriously wondering why you guys stay if you hate the company so much. There's a lot of venom and poison in the comments here, I can't help but to think many of you would be happier and healthier finding a new workplace to put your energy into. Seriously it's really disturbing and I hope that you guys who are hateful find something that brings you happiness. You can't continue to live like this.

Whole Foods hated me first. I was laid off after BLEEDING GREEN for 13 years. The entire demo department was erased. I love my store even though I'm not there. And I do not blame any of my friends who no longer work at coke speed and sacrifice for a company that can just let go of you no matter how hard you work. So if they decide to take it down a notch and now just work for the money I throw them NO SHADE.

GROW THE F--- UP.

Hi, I didn't stay FYI. My whole life is so much better now without that awful cancerous place eating me up from the inside. The WORST decisions made by the WORST NONBUSINESS leaders I've ever seen. And I'm old and have worked at some weird places. Nothing takes the cake like Whole Foods. Buffoonery on parade.

I tune into this site to see how things are going. Lots of friends and even some family of mine still work there because they weren't offered severance, or don't have many other options right now. I want to see how others feel. Anyway I used to love the Hoe Man...but these days he's turned into a different kind of 'tool' if you know what I mean.

Why stay? It's a really stupid and insensitive question to even ask. People stay first and foremost because they have bills to pay and finding new employment is not an easy task. Duh! Also, for longtime team members its a very emotional decision, similar to leaving a personal relationship, so it's not so simple as just leaving.

Fks - most respectful. I loved my store and I miss my co workers. Anyone above my TL's - can suck eggs. Seriously, the TL's are all suffering under SERIOUSLY BAD management. I do love reading the asshats at Regional(s) thinking that their comments are transparent.

I would say that judging by the number of views versus comments that hundreds of tms within days view each new post. Why is this? Many of us have families to feed and are honestly concerned about starting new somewhere else.

I personally like to keep up with what is happening at wfm with the scheduling program. KRONOS. I have specifc schedule needs....and the current GIG and KRONOS threaten those needs.

So I know a few might vent anger and frustration at a company for it's latest strategies to reduce full time employees, but most people here are like me. Worried. In limbo.

I agree that being hateful is no way to live. Sometimes you gotta vent though so I try to be understanding and respectful of that.

While Foods has been really good to me. I hope it will get better at some point, but it seems like there's a lack of transparency now that really worries me.

Change is the only constant in life. Times have changed and whole foods ultimately has to evolve or die also. I think people are mourning the loss at what it used to be like and a more wholesome less plugged in vibe. I know that's how I feel.
