MyWork Transition and Available Space

I don't know if this is true or not but I am hearing that is some markets they are running out of space to move people back into the office from the Mywork program. Has anyone heard of this?

Being part of the group that moves the associates back in to the office.. They are running out of space... They started with TI/GT&O but EVERY LOB will be coming back in to the office... if you dont or can not work in one of the Tier sites... get the resume ready... we can thank the blonde messiah with yahoo for starting this crap and the DR's of BofA for thinking it was a good idea.. so much for BofA being Green.. hard to be green with thousands of more cars on the road everyday...

A lot of us are the sole person.. I commute an hour in order to telecommute from my cubicle. I assume at some point those of us in this predicament will be the next target as they consolidate teams. I think offshore will be immune.. even on agile teams which is amusing..

Among other perks that have vanished, they have gotten rid of the parking subsidy. Now you have the privilege of paying your own way with pre tax dollars. We were told in quite a snarky tone that going back to the office would equalize everyone re the costs of commuting, but many folks don't have to pay for parking, and for others it's about 1k a year or more.

There may be desks but parking is an issue now. Monthly parking passes are expensive and have a long wait list. Many are having to pay daily.

I am mywork and non GT&O. I was told last week, announcement could potentially be this month for our organization to return to the office. So I asked..where will I be sitting.. Ballantyne, 1Bac or other uptown location? Response was.. oh, not sure yet. Space is hard to come by in charlotte. So, what's it gonna be? Am I going back in the office or not? The conversation went on to be more about my peers in TX and those that are in a non hub city. Then, I was told that the Mywork program is not being decommissioned entirely by the bank and less than 5% of an orgs staff can remain at home. When I go back to the office, I will be the sole person in my org in charlotte. It's so silly.. but I may actually like going back to an 8-5 schedule with an hour lunch. I will even see the sun and get some fresh air! Sorry west coast and central peeps, my calendar shuts off at 5 pm EASTERN.

Considering the employee count is down 80,000 in ~7 years there should be plenty of seats available guys come on. Don't make that an excuse why you can't come in the office

Clt has many empty cubicles.. Some look as if they are occupied (coffe cup, monitor) but I never see anyone in them. A lot have reserved signs, but I never see them used. The place is in shambles. The cubicles are filthy, offices are locked and dark, the small shredder security bins are filled with discarded take out boxes and soda cups. Scavenging and stripping cubicles for items is rampant. ... It is depressing. The last all hands only a handful of people showed up... But I think that is because most of the folks who work there are contractors. I am not sure.. It is all very bewildering and sad.

So if a couple of you are hearing the same thing then it must be true. Therefore, we have some folks on top that ARE NOT so bright and are making bad decisions with out looking this whole mywork program transition process through. The only thing that I can think of is that the bank plans on laying off more people to free up space and make the rest of the employees come back to work to fill those spaces up. Several people have told me that there will be NO Mywork program at the bank at all in the near future for all LOB's. So if that is the case the bank better have a place to put the employees instead of selling off space. Hell they can send the Indians back to India to utilize office space over in their country and let the Americans have office space in our own damn country since Bank of America is based in the United States.

Plano buildings which were empty a couple of months ago are full judging by the parking lots. Rumor is Beach St is ending cafe services and security in June so that sale must be going thru soon

Yes. Even in Charlotte this is an issue. It seems that if you are mywork and want to cone back in the office to stay off any RIF lists, you may be out of luck. Seems fishy to me.

Yes that is true I know in St Louis the building is apparently FULL.....and I agree this is a very half baked idea to return people to the office, there are people on my team that SHOULD be in the office however are not

I heard that too, but don't know if it is true. It won't surprise me, all this "back to the office right now!" has been a half-baked planning exercise. No new news of when non-GTO will be asked to return (if ever) and some GtTO locations seem to have halted the return.
