We were told that Beach is closing in June. But we weren't given a site location. That's In two months. Why won't they let us prepare. We have lives outside of BOA. BOA is heartless . Morale at Beach is at an all time low. I'm sure half of our jobs will be eliminated.

From what I heard since I work at beach is if you haven't been told anything you will most likely be in the layoffs in june. my work load has slowed down a lot. My full day is down to half.
What is going to happen to collections Dept. @ Beach St??? Are we going to be moved or laid off?
Just face it they don't care, if it means moving, buying a car whatever, look in your local market. Work life balance family doesn't mean anything. Next time someone schedules a 5pm meeting log off and go to your kids soccer game, stop letting them take advantage!
@GU3jmOT-1jvi I am not at all bitter, just annoyed at the lack of integrity. Like @GU3jmOT-1reg stated, I was onboard with the plan and acted accordingly but would have preferred a more honest approach.
If anyone is blind sided by a layoff you arent seeing reality....everyone should be prepared for the possibility of being let go...prepare for the worst hope for the best but if you are surprised at getting let go you aren't seeing reality
Not sure BOA does what's best for the company but it's true that they do not care about your personal loans, mortgage, family, personal life, ect. It just doesn't matter in the long run how good of an employee you are either. Update your resumes, have a plan! There is nothing worse than being blindsided with a lay off, especially, when you are doing what you are suppose to do and more! It just doesn't matter!! You think you won't be hit, think again!! It happens! And more than likely it's going to keep happening! Even managers and VP's, their day is coming as well! No one is safe!!!
That's not the point - he complied with the order to come in to work! He acted in good faith and was screwed in the process! Had a simillar experience myself - seems to be the norm here...
You bought a car in preparation of returning to the office and now you're bitter because you got laid off? Some people need to wake up and realize bofa is not a charity or your family trust fund. They do what's the best for the company and don't necessarily care about your car loan. Now you can use that car and drive yourself to interviews to get a job and be able to pay for it.
Too bad @GU3jmOT-kxn, one thing I was determined to not do was buy a car for this place just to return to the office, for exactly those reasons. Not the least bit surprise people got jacked by this friggin company in that way.
The impact to your life is irrelevant. BOA doesn't care how they negatively impact you. I bought a car in preparation for my scheduled return to the office and was laid off instead. Now I am stuck with car payments and no job.
