The powers that be have run out of ideas to actually make money so they've turned their lack of management skills into ridiculous metrics like band counters, as if bands ever meant anything before now, into trying to craft an organizational structure what seems similar to the military.
It doesn't matter what a person is capable of nor what they actually contribute to this org, what matters now is the little number next to his title and how many of those little numbers line up nicely on a connected tree structure at any given depth of the tree.
You're no longer a talented valuable hard working member of a team, you're a leaf node in a 10-12 b-tree. Just when you thought these buffoons running this place couldn't come up with any greater demonstrations of their stupidity, say color printing, they one up themselves with something even more ridiculous.
2016 looks like it is shaping up to be a banner year, let's call it Year of the Idiot in the senior leadership team.
