Another STL bites the dust- FL region

This time it's South Beach. That's four STLs and over a dozen ASTLs fired, layed off, or forced to step down in less than a year in FL. What's up with that? These guys used to be able to get away with anything and keep their jobs.

You should see the fiasco it is turning into with regional trying to "coerce" these two stores into getting the "correct candidates"..it might turn into an STL Job fair next week...

Yes, WFM closed a successful little Wild Oats that people loved. But others saw opportunity...Now Melbourne has a Fresh Market, Publix "hybrid" stores (one in Viera is 80% natural and organic and it's always packed) and very soon, a Lucky's Natural/Organic Market. The sideshow continues because the definition of insanity is doing the same thing, the same way with the same people and expecting different results.

In the paper in Fort Myers, it is announced Whole Foods is opening a store there. I think 365. Near Daniels Parkway.

Santiago, the former stl of the south beach store was too cheap with the store..how do you run a whole foods with no brooms for team members to adequately do their sweep and temp log sweeps..no tool kit for when a bakery case door falls off its hinges and stays off for months...and no gas grill to have any kind of event outside on a sunny day..one year for team member appreciation week he only gave us peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...cheap...

Putting a WFM in Destin has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard come out of the FL corporate office, and that is saying alot as there has been no shortage of idiot moves from that crowd. Really? Destin? Nobody lives there! Who picks the locations in FL? It is too bad that the whole concept of 'accountability' is not used on the bigwigs at regional.

Destin? What a joke. Gorgeous area but TOTALLY seasonal. Like Hilton Head -- another seasonal tourist destination where we just HAD to open and you can hear the crickets chirping 40 minutes away on I-95. They might as well hang a "closed for the season" sign for 6 months each year. So let's go into sleepy Destin and we have NO stores on the east coast between Palm Beach Gardens and Jacksonville. NOTHING. Treasure Coast Population: Close to 600,000. Space Coast Population: 551,000. Daytona-Ormond Population: 425,000. So let's ignore all of those shoppers and instead head over to freakin' DESTIN which has about 20,000 permanent residents?

As the cuts continue, I wonder which regional good ol' boy will be quietly installed in that store who otherwise would be out of a job. They never announce those, although they sure are quick to change the job title in the email address book. Hmm. I wonder why?

Lil Hitler, that's cute, Nick is a nice guy when you get to know him. I used to LOL when I would see him try to crack a smile. But with Ginger, oh yes, what you said is a fact. She already owns a home in Destin. It's like the Pompano Store being built specifically because Juan Nunez lives nearby. That place has yet to hit decent sales numbers considering the investment in a new store of its size and neither will Destin. A graveyard would generate more cash.

That stl at south beach had no business being in charge of that store..he was global all star at one time for no reason other than lovation, location, location, and international tourism money..florida regio al office tends to pick people for stl based on favoritism or blind devotion to brown nosers(lil hitler at the boca store now)..oh and maybe some nepotism or clandestine nocturnal affairs...etc..
