Spent last 7 years as MyWork associate in GT&O. Was let go in October. Was actually on vacation when it happened, which kind of sucked. But turned out to be such a huge career booster for me. 4 months of severance allowed me to get certifications I had been putting off, land a great new job (among many opportunities) and get double paid for a few months.
Not to mention I learned how inefficient work had become with a full team of WFH. Decisions that used to take a week at BAC now take a day because we all just get together and talk about it. I honestly think people who can work more efficiently from home over the long term are by far the exception. And exception to the rule does not invalidate the rule. It was a great perk from a personal standpoint but highly inefficient from a business standpoint.
If you as me, BAC is on the right track reducing workforce and bringing people back into an office. The biggest grumblers tend to be the laziest workers. I know because I unfortunately think I had become one...
