Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

MyWork- Why near a hub?

Why do you have to be near a hub vs an office building?

Every HUB has a different radius criteria --- 35 miles was used in Charlotte....but I figure they will likely use a 55 mile radius in New York when the MYWORK-return process hits that metro area. (public transport allows it).

@ -kym -- I agree, people that are given the flexibility usually over work to make up for it.

What were you told? Were you told you are being laid off for performance reasons or did they come out and tell you it was because you were xyz miles from a hub? If you don't mind sharing, how far ARE you from a hub?

I am very sorry for your situation, that is so wrong. What a strange group of people to target.

This is true. Not sure why? It happened to me yesterday! None of it makes sense. There are people in my department that barely work. I worked to over achieve even more because I worked from home but still got let go for living far from a site. None of the layoffs are personally reviewed. It's completely disheartening

Is the 35 mi from the hub thing true? Who cares if you are 45 mi away? Many people commute 45 miles. I find this to be a strange stipulation.
