This was a popular post a year ago. Makes me wonder about a repeat as we get close to Q2 this year.
I'm on medical leave and was informed this week that my position was included in the 4/20 layoffs & I will be officially laid off when my leave ends. Can anyone tell me what severance was offered for people laid off on 4/20?

This last move was definitely about the $$$...my age and salary was the determining factor for sure as I was top performer for many years....in the end your loyalty and hard work account for nothing. Don't be blindsided....be ready.
gotta love the bank. Moved me to new location and then kicked me to curb a couple months later. This was a $$ layoff. they hit the ones making too much cash.

Seattle - There were layoffs.
I've seen this before. Layoff a little at a time just under the numbers so you don't have to report to the state how many and why you are laying off or for that matter replacing personnel with contractors. Hmmm...........Also, severance packages are different when it is a mass layoff. A little at a time doesn't quite make the 'mass layoff' package, which means those laid off get less.

4 in doc ex in Chandler (included one notary), 16 in UW. Few other depts lost one or two as well. Total of close to 40 people. They were given an extra 2 weeks pay on top of normal severance. Wishing them all the best.
What formulas or strategies? I suspect it's formulas rather than strategies. They have also decided that every manager should have 6 reports, whether or not that matches the way the business is organized. In other words, change the business structure to match this magic number. The layoff dovetails with that re-org. Some executive read an article in a business class airline seat pocket magazine and sold the 6-ratio, which is filtering down whether relevant or not.
I was laid off today, along others from Beach St. / Fort Worth. It was odd, because they let us work for about an hour before pulling us in and letting us know. Pretty nasty move on their part. A total of 8 were let go in the area I sat in.
What strategies formula they are using?
There were 50 people in Greensboro, NC that were laid off today. It could have been. A crying shame. Majority of the people were not low performers. So what strategies are they are doing? I never witness anything like this in my life. It does not matter if you have been employed there from 1 years to 50 years. Bank of America does not care about tenure anymore. Its sad very sad. There still going to be more layoffs. Another wave is coming.
A few employees in Investor Accounting were walked out at Beach St location.
I saw 13 people from UW at the chandler site in building D Second floor get laid off.
I also saw 4 people Document EXecution get laid off as well. I noticed the people from DOC EX were people from the bottom of the scorecard.
At Beach there was an executive in BK let go, two managers in CRT And several front line associates in BK/CRT....
At Addison there were executives in FRR and foreclosure let go...crazy day

as far as WARN goes, I don't know what was done in CA, but those affected today are being paid for 60 days and then severance begins.
Concerning the WARN layoff reporting requirement by state, is there a minimum headcount requirement by state or by company? My understanding is that the company boa is laying off and therefore must file in each state that the employee our employees that are impacted, can anyone clarify
Seems the lays off in each state was just under the limit so that they did not have to file a report. So sad the way they treat their employees. I'm still here but I sometimes wish they would let me go and just give me my severance package. I've been working for 46 years and this is the worst company I have ever worked for. Just trying to hand in there for another couple of years and then retire. My best wishes go out to all who were laid off.

Thank you for the information on Chicago, I did look on the illinois.gov website concerning the WARN notification of layoffs in the state, I would advise others to do the same in their state, but I did not see bank of America listed....any one have insight in to this?
