Hey "Millennial V-team No Brain Kool-Aid Drinker" all telecom reveneue counts, because to the customer they don't care about the internal differences we have between wireless and fios and pots. To them and investors who expect their dividends, it is all one big communications business: Verizon.
When you get in your car to drive do you really care whose ignition was installed or which transaxle system is being used? No. You just want to turn it on and go. Just like the customers. They want to be able to pick up a voice device, turn on the tube or their computer and connect with the rest of the world, with minimal stress at a fair price.
Hey union.
Wireless revenue does not count.
only Wireline, and that is dropping (not an insult, just a fact)
Bottom line, we are there for VZ, VZ is not there for US.
(that includes me)
True - Verizon isn't a charity. But they sure take a lot from America. Jobs, taxes, etc ... it's called corporate welfare.
4.3B profit lets go by some more go90 api's
Verizon isn't a pole smoking palace either, but plenty a management be smokin those poles..
Why does the CEO make lots of money? What unique quality has he brought to the job that says he has earned $18M per year?
What have been the returns on his investments in AOL and Terramark and such?
This just smells of crony capitalism. If there was no on in Lowell's office the company would continue on.
What is his value proposition?
He is an empty suit.
More bitter union people. Two things:
1) CEOs make lots of money. That's not unique to Verizon -- it's the market that dictates their high salaries.
2) Instead of being bitter because the CEO makes lots of money, maybe you should try to improve yourself by going to school so maybe you can one day do something professional (as opposed to answering phones or splicing cables).
3) If you hate Verizon so much then go find a job somewhere else. Sitting around on your lazy, fat asscomplaining does you no good.
@H2wvrMK-gsh its me.
I forgot to add that this particular company charity actually pays their unloved executives a truly extraordinary amount in compensation, to actually piss all of those shareholder dollars away. Now if that is not charity, I don't know what is.
Meanwhile, across the tracks in the low rent side of town, the blue-collar red-shirted craft and union peeps, can't find any charity at the charity. Why is it that the company can not just renew the contract that was existing up until the stike? Really? The cash flows are all knows, the company is still raking in dough - so what is the problem? Was this drama necessary?
"verizon is not a charity"
LOL who posts stuff like this? Such righteous indignation on behalf of Verizon!
Hilarious!
Sure it's a charity. A charity for the executives and a bloodbath for everyone else.
I have never heard anyone accuse Verizon of being a charity
gsh
Right on, great post, just google verizon insider transactions, free money
It most certainly IS a "chairty" where shareholders donate multiple tens of $Billions of dollars for bored, inept, unloved senior managers to piss away on romantic dreams of FaceBook fame.
Where else in the world would executive managers be able to piss away such money while shaking down its once celebrated union workers, albeit the celebrations and remembrances of heroic efforts passed along with the storms.
You can only classify that as charity, not only in massive amounts of play money coinage, but allowing junior to have an office to play in. Now that is charity!
Mongo only pawn... in game of life.
You're all worthless and weak! Now drop and give me twenty!
No $hit Sherlock. $31 billion in revenue in Q1...
Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son.
