Meola is going to a new organization and his "buddies" are staying behind. Is he being punished or rewarded?

Looks like one of his directs is already leaving the bank. Probably more to come.
Not that I'm aware, I report to him as he's the boss of one of the business groups i being to that report to him...I know we were undertaking a data collection effort to prepare a presentation for him about out departments, etc, metrics......This type of effort is standard when a new boss comes in so I didn't find it unusual nor under the belief he was going to go anywhere.
That is a very "bank-y" answer below.
