Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

This site makes me so sad

But it's become an addiction, because there is such a lack of leadership and communication at the bank. BM I hope you are reading this, yes lack of leadership, slow to change, slow to communicate, a dis-service to your employees and the communities the bank serves. We say we want an exquisite customer experience you are never going to get it with employees biting thier nails everyday wondering when the next round of org announcements is going to happen. I actually drank the kool-aid, carried the legacy issues backpack and thought we would get there. I've seen people that have given up everything important to them to see this bank succeed and been cast by the wayside. Given the decisions I've seen the leadership make, maybe you will serve the jail time Angelo and Ken avoided, may karma bite you in the ass{{paragraph}}}K

Hang in there. I think nobody likes coming here and complaining, but there is no other avenue to vent. I always feel a bit better when I see that there are other people here who see the same problems that I see, who see injustice, poor treatiment, lack of leadership etc.

I think we all like BAC, we all came to work here with quite a bit of excitement, I joined 11 years ago and I was the biggest fan of the bank. Yet, with time you realize that things are not that rosy, and that some folks abuse the system.

I still love my customers, I love when I help them get what they need to get, finish business etc. That keeps me around, however there are many dear friends who had to leave and I see people with shady work ethics and no skills climb the ladder while good folks are being let go.

So, do not feel bad coming here - we are all here to vent a bit and exchange information.

God bless.

What's sad, is that people that have made valuable contributions and have produced results from which the business is continually benefiting, are just tossed aside and replaced by people that are struggling to achieve anything close!

Business is business and the goal of business is to grow, not shrink. I think the largest frustration with management of this company is they don't really know how to grow this monstrosity of a business they put together and the only way they can grow is to reduce expenses and try to hold onto the compressing revenue streams of the markets they are in. Responsible growth = we have no idea how to grow. Break this behemoth up and give new leaders in the individual businesses autonomy on how to grow those segments. Probably would be better for employees, shareholders, everyone actually except the ego maniacs in the board room.

Business is business, i see everyone pessimistic views. But it's either their head or ours. Of coarse if you were leadership and have shareholders to make happy you all would do the same. Leadership probably have read " the virtue of selfishness" great book by the way. All of you should read it. Good luck to all who have been laid off and will be laid off. I count myself being one.

BM and the rest of his cronies don't care about their employees as they see them as poor peasants. These people are rich and they only care about 1 thing - making more money. We are the working poor. We work hard and they come around to collect the fruits of our labor. If you're no longer productive, then you are to be slaughtered.
