Is Working Notice replacing the actual severance package or are you still entitled to severance once working notice expires?

Typically those given severance are given a Non-working notice period of 2 weeks and then severance kicks in which was 2 weeks for every full year of service. Working notice can help an employer avoid severance, sudden reduction in FTE and potentially some financial implications regarding LTD and other benefits; however, it can also put the company at risk if you're pissed (and let's face it most people getting let go are pissed) and compromise company assets (systems, data, customer confidentiality, etc.). Let's be really clear on one point and that is that the "Odds are never in your favor" so good luck and update your resume.
" If you quit before the notice says your end date is, do you forfeit severance?" Are you kidding is that a trick question or do you not have common sense?

Not it's not replacing. You get severance upon your notice ending. Until then it's BAU. Those who got notice thru December were suppose to be let go by Septembwr but India is not trained and ready to take on the load that fast!
Yep lots in Plano QA were given notice thru December
Quality call monitoring
Record everything, copy everything and every customer. Take it with you like those of all of us in mortgages. Copy the fraud and email. You'll be asked someday to do the right thing
The notice period gives them time to get offshore, trained and tested. If it's a large number of people affected you may get an additional two months of severance under WARN, sounds nice but I've beeen through it before not a happy experience
Quality teams were outsourced to India.
What are QA teams?
